Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify necessary repairs accurately
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly, disassembly, and repair work on van components
- Repair or replace faulty equipment parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Conduct welding and other fabrication tasks to repair or modify vehicle structures when needed
- Assist with heavy lifting and equipment handling to ensure safe and efficient repairs
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vehicle
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working on vans or similar vehicles
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and vehicle repair manuals
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Experience performing vehicle maintenance and equipment repair in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and support staff
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques for commercial vehicles
