About the Nursing Home Manager Role
As Nursing Home Manager, you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership, ensuring residents receive safe, effective and person-centred nursing care.
You will lead the nursing and care team while maintaining high standards of CQC compliance, clinical governance, safeguarding and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the nursing home.
- Provide strong clinical leadership to nurses and care staff.
- Ensure consistently high standards of nursing and elderly care.
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, legislation and healthcare standards.
- Oversee clinical assessments, care plans, medication management and audits.
- Lead safeguarding, risk management and quality improvement.
- Recruit, supervise, motivate and develop nursing and care staff.
- Manage staffing levels, resources and operational requirements.
- Build effective relationships with residents, relatives, GPs and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor clinical governance and care quality.
- Support CQC inspections, audits and regulatory reviews.
- Deputise for senior leadership where required.
Nursing Home Manager – Essential Requirements
To be considered for this Nursing Home Manager job in Chester, you must have:
- Registered Nurse qualification.
- Current NMC registration / active NMC PIN.
- Previous experience working in a nursing home or elderly care setting.
- Previous management or senior nursing experience.
- Experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse or Registered Manager.
- Strong clinical nursing skills and knowledge.
- Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and nursing home compliance.
- Experience with care planning, medication, safeguarding and clinical governance.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
