Duties

- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Check on guests regularly to ensure their needs are met and address any special requests or dietary restrictions
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and food safety standards to provide informed recommendations
- Clear tables efficiently, ensuring the dining area remains clean, organized, and inviting
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to deliver prompt service without compromising quality
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings with a strong focus on guest services
- Knowledge of serving techniques, food safety protocols, and basic food preparation skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully while maintaining a friendly approach
- Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and change accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling procedures
