Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Childcare Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children's development and well-being, providing high-quality care in a nurturing environment. Fluency in English and French is desirable to facilitate bilingual communication and enrich the children's learning experience. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily activities tailored to children's developmental needs, including educational, recreational, and socialising tasks.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes children's emotional and physical well-being.
- Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans and attentive supervision.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress and address any concerns effectively.
- Organise engaging programmes that incorporate language development, including bilingual activities in English and French.
- Assist with organising outings, excursions, and special events while ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of childcare practice.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioural notes as required.
Experience
- Proven experience working within childcare settings such as nurseries, preschools, or as a nanny or babysitter.
- Demonstrable ability to lead activities and manage groups of children effectively.
- Experience in teaching or supporting language development in both English and French is highly advantageous.
- Driving experience or possession of a valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties.
- Familiarity with child safeguarding policies and procedures is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is desirable to enhance bilingual engagement with children.
