Private Chef Mentor Wanted
I am looking for an experienced private chef to mentor and train me over a period of approximately 8weeks. Can be flexible on days. Anywhere between mon-Fri. 3-5 days. No weekends. Must live within 15 miles of Tring
This is not a job where you’ll simply cook for me or my family —I want to learn how to become an exceptional private chef myself. Think of it as a paid apprenticeship, where I work alongside you every day in a real kitchen environment.
About me
I have recently completed professional training and am passionate about developing my skills to a much higher level. My ambition is to cook confidently for private clients, family offices, luxury villas and yachts, producing relaxed but refined food to an exceptional standard.
I’m hardworking, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. I don’t mind long days, early starts or plenty of repetition if it helps me improve.
What I’m looking for
An experienced private chef with a background such as:
- UHNW family private chef
- Superyacht chef
- Luxury villa chef
- Chalet chef
- Boutique hospitality
Experience in Michelin-starred kitchens is welcome, but practical private chef experience is more important.

I want to understand not just how to cook, but how to operate as a successful professional private chef.
How I imagine it working
Ideally we would spend full days together at my home over an 8 week initial period, cooking lunch and dinner, shopping together, planning menus and discussing every aspect of running a private chef business.
As my confidence grows, I’d like to take on more responsibility until I’m leading the cooking while you mentor and critique my work.
Location
Training will take place in my home kitchen in Tring.
This is a temporary position starting September for 2 months initially. This is not your usual job opportunity and therefore please write a small note about why this interests you and what standard you could get me too, in say 8 weeks.
Pay: £220.00 per day
