Messina Clinic is a Medical Clinic that services the Brazilian and Latin American communities. We have been established for 18 years in London and we are currently looking for a Medical Receptionist with an immediate start!
As a Medical Receptionist, you're often the first person a patient meets when they enter the clinic. Patients and their relatives can be nervous or upset when they visit the clinic so as a receptionist, you may have to calm them down or reassure them. A receptionist at Messina Clinic may combine the job with other admin duties. You'll be expected to:
- Enter patients’ details into IT systems
- Direct patients where to go within the department or health centre
- Be responsible for fulfilling some administrative duties as well as front-of-house duties, including billing support, scheduling, patient communication, and filing.
- This role will require a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with people.
- Receive, assist, and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
- Provide general assistance to the clinical team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors in person but via the telephone at times.
This role is part-time.
Working hours are flexible.
We operate Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm and Saturdays 9am - 1pm.
Candidate requirements:
- Fluent English and Portuguese is essential.
- Basic Spanish is an advantage.
- Having knowledge/ experience in medical / hospital environment is desirable.
- Experience in customer/patient services is desirable.
- Being able to use your initiative, be proactive, quick learner, use discretion and a team player is essential.
- Knowing how to use Microsoft programs is essential.

Training and development
