Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Estates Manager (Operations) to play a pivotal role in delivering safe, efficient and compliant estate services across our healthcare estate.
This senior management position offers an exciting opportunity to lead multidisciplinary maintenance teams and contribute to the strategic management of one of Wales' largest healthcare organisations.
As a key member of the Operational Maintenance Team, you will oversee the management, operation and maintenance of healthcare buildings, engineering plant, building fabric, services and equipment, ensuring that services remain responsive, compliant and patient-focused.
Essential Requirements
Degree-level professional qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Management or supervisory studies qualification/training.
Significant experience in building services, estates maintenance or engineering environments.
Specialist knowledge of building fabric and maintenance services
A recognised apprenticeship background.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Excellent IT skills and the ability to work under pressure
Full UK driving licence and ability to travel throughout the Health Board

The successful candidate will:
Lead and manage multidisciplinary estates maintenance teams across the Health Board.
Manage operational maintenance services, including reactive, planned preventative and periodic maintenance programmes.
Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs), Health & Safety requirements and industry standards.
Act as Senior Authorised Person for specialist systems such as Medical Gas Pipeline Systems, Specialist Ventilation Systems and Decontamination Services (following appropriate appointment and training).
Manage budgets, contracts, service level agreements and specialist maintenance providers.
Provide professional and technical advice to senior managers, clinicians and directors.
Lead on workforce development, staff performance, apprenticeships and training programmes.
Support energy management initiatives and drive continuous improvement across the Health Board estate
