We are currently seeking a Van Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team in the transportation and delivery sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Safely drive a van to transport goods to various locations nationally
- Load and unload items from the van including office chairs and office furniture. Some deliveries will require unpacking of goods and placing into customers properties.
- Ensure timely deliveries to designated destinations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Carry out Warehouse duties. For example clearing up rubbish sweeping warehouse, loading & unloading vehicles.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or Van Driver
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Experience of driving a forklift for loading/offloading
- Excellent communication skills to interact with warehouse personnel and customers efficiently
- Ability to drive for extended periods while maintaining focus and attention
