Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and creative Art Teacher to join our growing team, delivering fun and engaging art classes for children aged 3–7 years.
This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, has previous teaching experience, and can create a warm, positive environment where every child feels encouraged to explore their creativity.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous teaching experience working with young children (essential).
- Be confident teaching children aged 3–7 years.
- Have a naturally warm, patient and nurturing personality.
- Be energetic, outgoing and able to engage young children through fun and interactive lessons.
- Be reliable, organised and punctual.
- Have excellent communication skills and be professional when interacting with both children and parents.
- Be creative and able to adapt activities to suit different ages and abilities.
- Strong knowledge of colour theory, drawing, painting techniques, sculpture, and other visual arts forms.
- Be confident managing a classroom independently while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
- Be passionate about inspiring children's creativity and building their confidence.
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate (essential).
- Have the right to work in the UK.
Working Hours
- Regular classes take place Tuesday to Thursday.
- Additional hours are available during half-term holidays.
- Weekend work is available for children's birthday parties.
- As hours vary throughout the year, this position is paid hourly, and the total number of hours worked each month will differ depending on the timetable and seasonal bookings.
Trial
Successful shortlisted candidates must be available during the first week of August for an in-person paid trial session.

Duties
- Plan and deliver comprehensive art lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating various artistic techniques and mediums.
- Inspire students to develop their creative abilities through innovative projects and constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to artistic exploration.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing personalised guidance to support individual development.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, special projects, and school events related to the arts programme.
- Manage classroom resources efficiently, including art supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Encourage positive behaviour and foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects diverse perspectives and talents.
Location: Chiswick & Hammersmith/Fulham, Notting Hill
This role offers an enriching opportunity for individuals passionate about arts education who wish to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives through creative expression.
Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
