Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Manager to lead our Children’s Residential Care Home. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the home's operation, ensuring high-quality care, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people while leading a committed care team.
Duties
- Lead and manage the residential home, ensuring the delivery of outstanding care tailored to each child's needs.
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans that promote emotional well-being, independence, and life skills.
- Supervise and support staff members, fostering a positive team environment through training, mentorship, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, safeguarding policies, and quality standards within the home.
- Oversee medication administration and health & safety procedures to guarantee a safe living environment for children.
- Maintain effective communication with families, social workers, and external agencies to support each child's progress and placement stability.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring service delivery and implementing best practices in residential childcare.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within a care home setting, preferably with children or young persons.
- Extensive knowledge of assisted living, nursing home environments, or similar senior care settings.
- Experience in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care is advantageous but not essential; a strong understanding of complex emotional needs is required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while ensuring high standards of care through supervision and training.
- Familiarity with developing and reviewing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures, medication administration protocols, and regulatory compliance within residential care settings.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with children, families, staff members, and external professionals.

Pay: £37,320.61-£71,434.83 per year
