About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and passionate Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead a brand-new service in Leicester.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident leader to join a new service supporting a solo placement for a young person with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
The role will initially be offered on an interim basis, with the opportunity to progress into a full-time permanent position.
You will play a key role in helping establish the service, developing the staff team and ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of the children’s home.
- Ensure the service operates in line with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care planning and compliance.
- Lead, support and develop the care team.
- Promote positive outcomes for the young person.
- Work closely with professionals, families and external agencies.
- Monitor staff performance, training and development.
- Support the service through its development and registration journey.
- Create a positive, nurturing and child-centred environment.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all required documentation is completed.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager who can confidently lead a new service.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience managing a children’s residential care service.
- Experience supporting children and young people with EBD or complex needs.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding.
- A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- The ability to build and motivate a high-performing team.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Good written and spoken English is essential.
