A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our very busy warehouse team and we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Warehouse Operative and Delivery Driver. The right candidate will assist with ensuring that the furniture is received and stored effectively and safely and ensure all items are being despatched and delivered in a timely manner, to ensure the Company fulfils customer requirements.
As this role involves delivery driving a flexible approach to working hours to assist the business during busy periods is essential. There may be a requirement to work weekends, unsociable hours within the week and to be flexible to meet customer requirements. Uniform and PPE will be provided.
Warehouse Operative responsibilities:
- Receiving containers and deliveries containing goods at the loading/receiving bay.
- Storing received goods in the appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Checking loads for damage or missing items upon receipt.
- Moving and rearranging stock, either by hand or with appropriate lifting aids.
- Cleaning the space and ensure that goods do not get damaged.
- Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously.
- Have an awareness of health and safety in the warehouse.
Delivery Driver responsibilities:
- Delivering, distributing and collecting products on a regular basis to meet the companies demands, this includes being flexible with regard to working unsociable hours and commitment to meet company needs over external factors.
- To represent the company in a professional manner to maintain our excellent customer satisfaction rates.
- Plan and follow routes and time schedules.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and drive the delivery vehicle.
- Resolve clients queries via our Customer Service department.
- Complete vehicle reports.
Requirements:
- Previous 1 years’ experience in a workplace environment and manual handling.
- Previous 1 years’ delivery driving experience.
- Full and clean driving licence.
- Team player with the eagerness to learn and a willingness to work hard.
- Uses own initiative and can manage own workload
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy to spot discrepancies.
