Job Description:
- Key Outline: The primary function of the Bandsaw / CNC Operator is to ensure that the machinery is operated in a safe & clean manner. Ensuring zero defects & safety of the process.
- Operation of Bandsaws, hand routers, sanders and related equipment to trim and finish plastic moulds ready for assembly and despatch, including all related production processes and documentation.
Main responsibilities include:
· Follow all health & safety guidelines ensuring safety for themselves and others.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working area, at all times, through regular routines and adhering to housekeeping policies & procedures.
· Maintain compliance with the companies QMS by following the company quality procedures.
· Setting up saws and related jigs to process parts through the trim process
· Carry out & record 1st off and last off as per quality procedure (Subject to training level).
· Carry out and record quality checks as stated on Works Orders in line with specification requirements.
· Ensure specifications are adhered to at, all times.
· Ensuring all paperwork is filled out correctly, neatly and is maintained in a quality state pending sign off.
· Train on CNC machine running to aid in Busy periods, Break cover and absence / holiday cover within the CNC department.
· Report any problems or issues to either Lead Operator or Team Leader
· N.B – If in doubt stop and ask.
Experience is an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

Working Hours & Pay
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 6pm to 6am
- Weekly Hours: 48hrs per week
- Pay Rate: £14.39
- A period of time will be needed on days to complete training (2 - 4 weeks), daytime work will be paid at £13.24 per hour on a 6am to 6pm Monday to Thursday shift.
