Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi Trade Operative to join our dynamic team. This role involves undertaking a variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all works are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard, contributing to the smooth operation of our facilities. Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repair tasks across various trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical installations, and general building works.
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions promptly to minimise downtime.
- Assist with installation projects, including fitting fixtures, fittings, and equipment as required.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they develop into major problems.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and materials used.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within designated timeframes.
- Keep work areas clean and organised after completing tasks to ensure safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work or general building maintenance.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to adapt quickly to different tasks.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to building maintenance and repairs.
- Experience working independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in trades are desirable but not essential; practical experience is highly valued.
