ROLE PURPOSE
The Food Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Café, Members Lounge, and Breakfast operations. This is a hands-on leadership role, ensuring exceptional guest and member experiences, maintaining brand standards, and supporting the development of the front-of-house team.
The Supervisor leads by example on the floor, ensuring smooth service, operational excellence, and a warm, personalised approach that reflects the Aethos philosophy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver exceptional, personalised service to hotel guests, members, and café visitors.
- Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere throughout breakfast and all-day café operations.
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery promptly and professionally.
- Operational Leadership
- Supervise the daily operation of the Café, Members Lounge, and Breakfast service.
- Monitor service flow, table management, and cleanliness throughout service.
- Ensure all opening, closing, and cash handling procedures are completed accurately.
- Support the delivery of member events and special activations within the café space.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and coach the front-of-house team to deliver consistently high standards.
- Train new colleagues on service standards, menu knowledge, and Aethos values.
- Promote teamwork and maintain a positive working environment.
- Food Beverage Standards
- Ensure food and beverage presentation meets brand expectations.
- Drive upselling opportunities while maintaining a genuine and personalised approach.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health safety, and licensing regulations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all guest-facing areas.
- Complete daily operational and HACCP checks.
- Report maintenance issues and follow up to resolution.
- Support the achievement of departmental revenue and guest satisfaction targets.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory counts
- Help identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance the guest experience.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous supervisory experience within a luxury hotel, restaurant, members club, or premium café.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and lead effectively during busy service periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and high personal presentation standards.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and licensing regulations.
