Job Introduction
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑focused Cleaning Operative to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our site, ensuring a safe, compliant, and pleasant working environment for all employees and visitors.
You will be required to follow structured cleaning schedules, complete required documentation, and ensure all tasks are carried out in line with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
The hours of work are Wednesday - Sunday 05:00am until 13:30pm.
Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise toilets, washrooms, and associated facilities

Vacuum, mop, and maintain office areas and furnishings

Clean reception areas, meeting rooms, corridors, and stairways

Maintain cleanliness in canteen areas, including waste disposal and surface sanitation

Clean designated factory and warehouse areas, including walkways and equipment

Carry out periodic deep cleaning tasks where required (e.g. floors, walls)

Complete daily cleaning records and documentation

Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and consumables
-
Follow task schedules and adapt to operational requirements

Follow all Health & Safety procedures and risk assessments
-
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly
-
Adhere to COSHH regulations when using cleaning chemicals

Report hazards, defects, or incidents promptly
-
Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
(Where applicable to site operations)

Follow all site hygiene standards and procedures

Ensure compliance with food safety requirements

Report any non-conformances or risks
Essential:

Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Strong reliability and timekeeping

Good verbal communication skills

Previous cleaning experience
Desirable:

Cleaning experience, ideally within a production or industrial environment

Knowledge of cleaning equipment, methods, and safe chemical use

The role may involve manual handling and working at heights (up to 2 metres using appropriate equipment)
