Due to expansion Sunny Skies Academy is seeking experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Nurses and to join our nursery family. We currently have vacancies across all age ranges.

Role Overview: As a early years educator , you will play a pivotal role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children feel safe, secure and valued. Previous experience is essential however, full training will be provided. Your responsibilities will include:
- To understand, implement and adhere to the Early Years foundation stage and supporting birth to five guidance, legislation and guidance outlined by Ofsted.
- Engaging children in educational and recreational activities that promote their holistic development.
- Provide suitable support to an allocated key group, facilitated through effective observations, evaluations, assessments, and implementation of developmentally appropriate planning, supporting developmental milestones to be met.
- Supporting children with personal care routines, such as feeding, nappy changing, and nap times.
- Collaborating with colleagues and parents to create individualised learning plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, always adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide comfort and warmth consistently to all children.
- To be actively involved and provide input to the progression of your classroom.
Candidate specification

Experience, training and qualifications:
- NNEB, CACHE level 2/ 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent (minimum).
- A current certificate in: Paediatric first aid, Basic Awareness in Child Protection and Safeguarding Children and Food Safety and Hygiene. (Or willingness to undertake these with immediate effect).
- A good understanding of the Early Years foundation stage and Birth to five matters guidance.
- Prior experience of working with children.
- A basic understanding of child development theory.
- A broad understanding of wider safeguarding responsibilities
Requirements:
Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced disclosure and Barring service (DBS) check and two references.
