HGV Class 2 Skip Driver
Location: London, SW19
Pay Rate: £21 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 5:15pm
Optional Saturday Overtime: 6:30am – 1:00pm
About the Role
Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy waste management operation based in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver with previous skip vehicle experience looking for ongoing, full-time work with optional Saturday overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect skips from commercial and residential customer sites.
- Transport waste safely and dispose of materials in line with company procedures and environmental regulations.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Complete all delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
- Comply with all road transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and health & safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous skip driving experience is essential.
- Good knowledge of driver hours and road traffic regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
What We Offer
- £19.00 per hour.
- Monday to Friday working pattern.
- Day shifts: 6:30am – 5:15pm.
- Optional Saturday overtime (6:30am – 1:00pm).
