Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children & young persons, ensuring their well-being and development. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with care plans to meet the specific needs of each individual.
Duties
- Provide direct support to children in various settings, including home and community environments.
- Assist with daily living activities, ensuring that individuals receive the care they need.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with other professionals and family members.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and other stakeholders to foster positive relationships.
- Drive to various locations as required for outings or appointments.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents that occur during support sessions.
- Engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote their development.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required.
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals in their personal growth and development.
