Procurement Planner – FTC (6 months)

About the role
To provide support to the Supply Chain Team by always ensuring 100% components and product availability. Delivered through efficient and timely supplier management.
Key responsibilities
- Creating Purchase Orders and issuing to suppliers once approved. Ensuring all suppliers Order Acknowledgments/Confirmations are matching with PO details
- Proactive management of open orders and delivery dates with suppliers based on the actual demand and production requirements. Advising all relevant stakeholders of any delays promptly
- Nurturing and managing supplier relationships including periodic business reviews where required
- Maintaining optimum componentry and product stock levels in line with the Company targets.
- Ensuring correct supplier payment terms are maintained, including liaising with an Accounts Team regarding account status and payments.
- Managing QCD performance of suppliers (late delivery, quality issues, damages, price issues), ensuring suitable corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
- Maintaining the supply chain related system master data including suppliers, materials, pricing etc. information accurate and up to date
- Managing the discontinuation or change in product specification through the system.
- Negotiating product costs, based on production requirements through the MRP system
- Ongoing promotion of continuous improvement on existing supply chain, systems and processes throughout the Business
What we’re looking for
Must-haves
- At least 2 years in a similar role, ideally within an FMCG environment.
- Experience of SAP (or other MRP systems) and all Microsoft Office applications
- A team player who thrives in a fast paced, busy, and challenging environment
- Strong analytical skills and to be able to present key findings in a clear way
- Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers globally
