Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and excellent service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen eye for cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
- Support chefs with basic cooking tasks and ingredient organisation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment (Pot washing)
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are upheld at all times
- Help with serving food to guests or customers as required
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Support the team during catering events or busy service periods
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure the kitchen remains tidy throughout shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Friendly attitude with excellent communication skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the kitchen setting
