Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with an established and growing accountancy firm who are looking to recruit a qualified Accounts Senior to join their team in Leeds.
The Role
You will manage a varied portfolio of clients, with responsibilities including:
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparing management accounts and financial reports where required
- Reviewing trial balances and reconciling balance sheet items
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain information
- Supporting corporation tax, business tax and personal tax compliance
- Working closely with Bookkeeping, Payroll and Tax teams
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
About You
- ACA / ACCA Qualified or QBE & previous senior-level experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong experience preparing statutory and management accounts
- Good knowledge of UK accounting standards and practice requirements
- Confident communicating with clients and managing relationships
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff
- Proficiency with accounting software such as IRIS, Sage, Xero or similar
- Personal tax experience would be advantageous
