Aluminium Stores Person– Exciting Opportunity
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and hands-on Aluminium Stores Person to join our growing Aluminium Window and Door manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse or stores professional to take ownership of stock control and daily stores operations within a fast-paced aluminium fabrication environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials, stock, and components are efficiently managed to support production deadlines and maintain smooth warehouse operations.
This is a hands-on role where you will play a vital part in ensuring our production team has the materials and components needed to deliver high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check and book in deliveries
- Pick and issue stock for production
- Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records
- Maintaining high standards of organisation, cleanliness, and health & safety throughout the stores and warehouse areas
- Assist with twice yearly stock takes and inventory checks
- Work closely with production, purchasing and logistics teams
- Report damaged or missing stock and help resolve stock discrepancies
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment where authorised- training can be provided
- Reporting missing or damaged stock to the Stock Supervisor
- Liaising with the Stock inventory manager
- Working closely with the Fabrication Supervisor and Production Coordinator to ensure weekly production requirements are met
Essential Skills & Experience
- Comfortable undertaking physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying and moving stock throughout the working day
- Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment- preferable
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
- Forklift licence- preferan;e
