Summary Role of the Health Care Assistant
DORA Rose care Home are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities, implement care plans, and foster a positive environment for those you support. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to drive, enabling them to provide care in various settings.
Responsibilities of the Health Care Assistant
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the individual's condition.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care services.
Qualifications of the Health Care Assistant
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations.
- IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and communicating within the team.
