McGowans sales assistants act as the face of this reputable and trusted family-run jewellery business, established in 1895 and situated in the historic Argyll Arcade. Our reputation as Glasgow’s original antique and second-hand jewellery dealer requires our sales assistants to embody the values of the business, which include the ability to provide high quality, personal, and passionate service. Above all else, McGowans sales assistants must have a desire to undertake a career of continuous learning and be hard working individuals.
You will be joining a supportive team, further supported by our committed management team. While jewellery experience is preferable, demonstrable high-value sales experience will also be considered.
Job role:
- Providing our customers with a quality sales experience, in the sale of both second-hand and new stock.
- Completing a high standard of daily window dressing and the merchandising of our stock.
- Taking initiative and being inquisitive to find solutions to customer and workshop enquiries. This includes in-person, telephone and email correspondence.
- Handling and being the point of contact for customer repairs, including liaising with our workshop for job specifications and deadlines.
- Being responsible and having an awareness of security measures.
- Having the ambition/enthusiasm to contribute to the achievement of store sales targets.
- Being a friendly individual who is passionate about jewellery and provides the highest quality of customer service.
