We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fire and Security Service Engineer to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of fire and security systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet safety standards. Your expertise will help safeguard our clients’ premises through reliable system performance and exceptional service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and service fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, emergency lighting, and other security equipment in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all systems function optimally.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, mechanical faults, or system malfunctions using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Diagnose system design problems or hardware failures related to computer networking, telecommunication setups, or electrical components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system design documents to facilitate accurate installations or repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs for each site visit to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to provide technical advice on system upgrades or improvements based on current technology trends such as IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) or CCTV enhancements.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to handle diverse installation tasks.
- Proficiency in computer networking principles relevant to security systems integration.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components used in security equipment setups.
- Experience working with schematics, system design documentation, and technical manuals.
- Practical knowledge of construction processes related to installing security infrastructure in various environments.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, power drills, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems essential for integrated security solutions such as CCTV or IDS.
