At Selkirk Dental Practice, we have an exciting opportunity for someone who wants a varied and rewarding role as both a Dental Nurse and Receptionist.
This is perfect for someone who wants to:
- Be hands-on in patient care, assisting dentists chairside, AND
- Be front-facing on reception, welcoming patients and keeping the practice running smoothly.
Whether you’re experienced or completely new to dentistry, we’ll provide full, in-depth training and support to help you develop a long-term career.

Your Main Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients warmly, both in person and on the phone.
- Booking appointments and keeping patient records up to date.
- Supporting dentists during treatments and putting patients at ease.
- Maintaining a safe and clean clinical environment.
- Helping with administrative tasks to keep the practice running smoothly.
- Handling payments and general reception duties.
What We’re Looking For:
- A friendly, confident personality and great communication skills.
- Someone organised and reliable who enjoys multitasking.
- A team player who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take part in structured training.
- Good basic IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Word).
No dental experience required – we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
