Foxby Hill is a 47 Bed Residential Home for Respite Care/Short Term/Long Term Care.
We are looking to recruit an Activities Assistant to work within the home to contribute to the pleasant environment of the Home with a particular remit for involving the residents in a wide variety of activities designed to address a wide range of interests and varied limitations on individual needs.
A DBS is required.
You will encourage our residents to take part in:
- Arts and crafts
- Games
- Sing-a-longs
- Creative decorations
- Bingo
- Dominoes
- Knitting
- and many more.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Organise and participate in a variety of activities within the Home to cater for a varied interests, for small groups and large numbers of residents, including games, parties and entertainment, encouraging relatives and visitors to be involved (When safe to do so)
Arrange trips and excursions (when safe to do so) with varied destinations and purposes to involve as many residents in activity outside the confines of the Home.
Undertake fundraising activity for the Residents Fund.
Understand personal responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety at Work legislation, fire safety and evacuation procedures. Be aware of the need to provide a safe and healthy environment for residents, particularly with regard to external activities.
Act accordingly towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
Contribute fully to team working, and be aware of the care staff routines necessary to provide continuity of service to residents.
Ensure supplies and equipment are stored in a safe and tidy manner.
