We are currently recruiting professional Bus & Coach Drivers to join our growing team at JH Coaches.
This is a varied role offering a mixture of private hire and contract work, providing drivers with a diverse range of duties throughout the year. Depending on operational requirements and the successful candidate's DBS clearance, work may include home-to-school contracts, private hire bookings, day excursions, corporate travel, events, airport transfers, school and university hires, and more.
No two weeks are the same, with duties allocated based on the work available. This makes the role ideal for drivers who enjoy variety and flexibility in their working week.
For drivers looking to develop their careers further, there are opportunities to progress onto longer-distance private hires, UK tours, and even European tour work.

Requirements
- Valid PCV (Category D) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of UK road networks
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional and presentable manner
- Willingness to undertake a variety of driving duties
- Enhanced DBS check (required for certain contract work – we can arrange this if necessary)
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport passengers on a range of private hire and contract services
- Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation
- Comply with all driving hours, tachograph, and safety regulations
- Carry out duties professionally and represent JH Coaches positively at all times
- Be flexible in undertaking different types of work as operational requirements dictate
