Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Driver/Shop Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers in a timely manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Assist customers with their purchases in the shop, providing friendly and professional service
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are handled with care and accuracy
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery schedules, and inventory records
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met
- Support warehouse tasks such as stock organization, inventory management, and restocking shelves when needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving or warehouse work
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred
- Experience with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Knowledge of local roads, navigation tools, and safe driving practices
- Ability to operate delivery vehicles safely and responsibly in various conditions
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or retail environments is advantageous
