Stuart Macdonald Mobility is a growing family-run business specialising in high-quality used wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) and used cars. We pride ourselves on presenting our vehicles to the highest standard and providing outstanding customer service.
We're looking for a reliable, hardworking and proactive individual to join our team on weekends to help keep our showroom, forecourt and vehicles looking their very best.
The Role
This is a varied hands-on position that would suit someone who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Valeting vehicles to a showroom-quality finish
- Keeping all vehicles clean and presentable throughout the weekend
- General gardening and grounds maintenance, including weeding, tidying and maintaining the forecourt and outdoor areas
- Keeping the showroom, workshop and customer areas clean and organised
- Greeting customers who visit the forecourt and directing them to a member of the sales team
- Carrying out basic vehicle maintenance tasks where required, such as replacing bulbs, key fob batteries and other simple maintenance jobs
- Assisting with general duties around the business as required
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking with a positive attitude
- Able to work independently and use their own initiative
- Friendly and approachable with good customer service skills
- Someone who takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous valeting or detailing experience
- Experience in general maintenance or gardening
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (changing bulbs, replacing batteries, topping up fluids etc.)
- A full UK driving licence
