Job Summary
Dovetail Greenhouses is a second-generation family firm established over thirty years ago. We hand-make and install bespoke aluminium greenhouses across the whole of the UK.
We are looking for a reliable and hard working Greenhouse Fitter / Fabricator to join our growing team. This is a varied role that combines factory-based preparation work with on-site greenhouse installation. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, take pride in producing high-quality work and be willing to travel when required.
Full training will be given. We are initially looking to fill a part-time position, most likely Mondays to Wednesdays but with flexibility, for a trial period at the end of which the role may expand to become full-time.
Responsibilities
- Prepare greenhouse structures and components in the factory for installation.
- Assemble and check parts to ensure they meet quality standards before dispatch.
- Load and unload materials and equipment safely.
- Assist with on-site greenhouse fitting and construction projects.
- Follow technical drawings, specifications and installation procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Work as part of a team to meet production and installation deadlines.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Practical hands-on skills and experience using hand and power tools.
- Good work ethic with a positive and flexible attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
- Comfortable with early morning starts and occasional overnight stays.
- Comfortable with working both in a factory environment and outside in all weathers.
- Basic math skills for measurements and interpreting technical drawings.
- The successful candidate will need to be able to travel independently to our site.
- A full UK driving licence would be useful.
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
