Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, reliable self employed groomer to join our busy salon in Honley HD9 for a 3 month fixed term contract.
Position to begin November 2nd 2026 - February 3rd 2027.
Full time hours Monday to Friday.
Customers ready and waiting so no existing customer base needed!
Role Requirements:
The ideal candidate MUST be qualified groomer with salon experience. Independent working from day one is essential.
Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide advice on pet care between appointments
Handle animals with care, patience, and professionalism to ensure their comfort and safety throughout the grooming process
You must be able to work well in a team as you will be working alongside 3 other groomers and 1 apprentice.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing high quality grooming services on all breeds
Booking appointments using our online system.
Making and taking phone calls with a professional manner.
Maintaining standards of cleanliness and safety within the salon.
Additional Information:
Clippers and equipment are provided but own scissors are preferred
Must have own insurance
Although a fixed term contract there will be opportunity to cover other holidays before and after the fixed term.
If your application is successful, you will be required to come for a grooming trial. We will be only accepting applications from experienced dog groomers.
