More about the role
You will lead an agile engineering team, in partnership with an Engineering Manager, to drive the development of our multi-brand, multi-channel messaging platform. You’ll be accountable for the roadmap, working in support of the Senior Product Manager to ensure all activity is prioritised in line with our business strategy and agreed MarTech goals and metrics so that we can communicate with millions of customers every week when and where it makes sense for them; sending the right message via the right channel at the right time.
You’ll work in close collaboration with a variety of engineering teams and other Product Managers, architects, analysts, data scientists, senior stakeholders and third-party partners. You will confidently manage priorities; you’ll have a strong grasp of the big picture, working to understand dependencies, arbitrating conflicting priorities and influencing across teams to drive value while fostering a community spirit and culture of proactive feedback within Sainsbury's. You will continually review product value, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction and use this insight to inform prioritisation. You’ll support the communication and resolution of live product incidents and effectively prioritise, coordinate and communicate the resolution of production issues.
