Abbeygate Rest Home is part of the local Broadgate Homes Group and is a small friendly home of just 24 rooms that has a close and friendly team whose priority is delivering care to our residents.
Evening Carer required to work 3:00pm - 10:00pm on a two week rolling rota:
Week 1: 21 hours
Week 2: 28 Hours
Pay £12.86 per hour, paid weekly.
About the Role
Abbeygate Rest Home is looking for a caring, compassionate, and reliable Carer to join our friendly team.
As an Evening Carer, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to our residents, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and wellbeing. You will play an important role in ensuring residents are comfortable and supported throughout the evening.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans
- Assist with washing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and mealtime support where required
- Promote residents' dignity, independence, privacy, and choice at all times
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any concerns to senior staff
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Support residents with evening routines and ensure their comfort and safety
- Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high standards of care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a residential care home is preferred
- Level 2 or Care Certificate preferred
- A caring, compassionate, and reliable nature
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work the advertised rota, including mandatory alternate weekends
