P6 Planner – FJ Booth Construction Location: Teesside
FJ Booth Construction is seeking an experienced P6 Planner to join our project delivery team on a major industrial development in Teesside. This is a high‑profile, multi‑disciplinary scheme with complex interfaces, long‑term scheduling requirements and a fast‑moving construction environment. We’re looking for someone who thrives on structure, clarity and precision — and who can bring robust planning discipline to a project with many moving parts.
Role Overview
You will take ownership of the Primavera P6 programme, ensuring accurate planning, sequencing and progress control across engineering, procurement and construction activities. Working closely with project managers, commercial teams and site leadership, you’ll provide the insight and foresight needed to keep delivery on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and optimise detailed P6 schedules covering all phases of the project lifecycle
- Integrate subcontractor programmes and ensure alignment with the master schedule
- Produce progress updates, look‑ahead plans, critical path analysis and recovery strategies
- Support project controls through earned value analysis, KPIs and performance reporting
- Identify risks, constraints and opportunities within the programme and advise on mitigation
- Work collaboratively with engineering, construction and commercial teams to ensure planning accuracy
- Present clear, data‑driven updates to senior stakeholders

- Proven experience as a P6 Planner within construction, engineering or industrial projects
- Strong understanding of project controls, sequencing and interface management
- Ability to communicate complex planning information in a clear, structured way
- Confidence working in a high‑pressure, evolving environment
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- A proactive mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive clarity
