Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bank Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a care home settings on an ad hoc basis. This role offers flexibility to support our care team during peak times and staff shortages,. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and experience in medication administration. Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
- Assist with patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, and recognising changes in patient conditions
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed orders and safety protocols
- Support the healthcare team with clinical procedures and documentation as required
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records
- Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate concerns appropriately
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or equivalent regulatory body
- Competence in medication administration, including understanding of drug calculations and safety checks
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments and work independently when required
