Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining order, preventing loss, and providing excellent customer service at various venues. This role requires a confident presence, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to any incidents. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety is paramount.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances and exits to control access and prevent unauthorised entry
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards
- Utilise surveillance equipment such as CCTV to observe activity and assist in incident investigations
- Enforce venue policies and procedures with professionalism and courtesy
- Respond promptly to incidents, including disputes or emergencies, ensuring safety for all parties involved
- Assist with loss prevention by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism
- Provide first aid when necessary, offering assistance until emergency services arrive
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with team members and management
- Deliver excellent customer service by engaging positively with visitors and addressing concerns appropriately
Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognise suspicious activity or potential threats
- Knowledge of CCTV operation, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies or conflicts
- First aid certification is desirable but not compulsory; training can be provided if required
- Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanour
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrols across large venues
