Working Hours
35.15 hours per week on a rotating two-shift pattern following training. (overtime available)
Week 1
- Monday-Thursday: 6:00am-2:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am-1:00pm
Week 2
- Monday-Thursday: 2:00pm-10:00pm
- Friday: 1:00pm-8:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture steel products in line with production specifications and quality standards.
- Operate a range of industrial machinery following full training.
- Record, label and store finished products accurately.
- Carry out routine quality inspections and report any defects.
- Safely operate overhead cranes (following training and certification).
- Assist with basic machinery maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Follow all Health & Safety, COSHH and PPE procedures.
- Work efficiently as part of a production team to achieve daily targets.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience within manufacturing, production, engineering, construction or another industrial environment, or a genuine desire to build a career within manufacturing.
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
- Flexible approach to overtime when required.
The successful candidate will have to complete a medical assessment, including a drug and alcohol screening.
