Weekend Service Chef £17.50/hr+ £good tronc
We are an award-winning village local and destination dining pub situated in West Sussex countryside near the village of Liphook looking to hire a part time weekend service chef with a minimum of three years experience cooking fresh food in a fast paced environment, who shows an energy and enthusiasm for their craft and have the right personality to work in our successful team. Suitable candidates are likely to be looking for a second job or a job that fits in with a partner who works Monday to Friday. They will enjoy the fast-paced life of this busy and successful rural pub and will appreciate working hard in a calm environment, free of ego and over-bearing characters. You would be expected to work a section thru the weekend, including the busy Sunday lunch shift. Anticipated hours are: optional Friday dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner and then Sunday until 9pm. In addition there would be supplementary shifts available, event catering opportunities and holiday work, as desired. We cook fresh local and seasonal global pub food. Lots of opportunities for progression and creativity working under an experienced and long serving head chef and senior sous team. The role suits someone local with their own transport and I so I won't be considering candidates intending to move.
