As a Production Operative in the Cheese packing team at Wyke Farms, you will working as part of our cheese production team, being involved in the creation and forming of our award winning cheese.
We are looking for a reliable and hard working individual, who works well with others, to come and join our team.
The preferred candidate will ideally have previous manufacturing and/or production experience and be flexible with their work availability.
It is crucial that the successful applicant be able to liaise with other departments and management.
You will be working as part of a well-established and experienced team, who will provide training and support to grow in to the role.
Good time management is also a key requirement of this role, to ensure the smooth running of the department.
You will be required to work 4 x 10-hour days each week on a rolling rota basis Monday through Saturday, covering early shift (6:00am - 4:00pm) and late shift (4:00pm - 2:00am).
Overtime is available on a voluntary basis.
The role pays £13.46/hour as well as a weekly shift bonus for each complete shift worked, making an annual salary of at least £32,000.
Duties Include:
- Packing, boxing, and palletising cheese blocks up to a weight of 20kg
- Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety and HACCP requirements
- Operating packing machinery and equipment safely, reporting any faults or issues promptly
- Carrying out visual quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Working efficiently as part of a small team to meet daily production targets
