Care Practitioner (Maternity cover 33 hours per week)
We are looking for Care Practitioners who are either experienced or wish to pursue a career in the Care Sector to join our family. As a Care Practitioner, you’ll look after the physical, psychological and social needs of the individuals to help us deliver the quality care they deserve.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily activities (dressing, undressing, toileting, bathing, feeding).
- Provide care for bedridden residents and handle their property carefully.
- Support residents with mobility issues and maintain personal aids and equipment.
- Promote residents' wellbeing through conversation, activities, and outings.
- Prevent damage to property and ensure cleanliness (make beds, tidy rooms, empty commodes, inspect clothing).
- Help with meal preparation, serving, and cleaning up.
- Respond to emergency calls, greet visitors, and answer the phone.
- Participate in meetings, training, and maintain resident records.
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of others while working.
- Act courteously, respecting residents' dignity and individuality.
- Work as a Keyworker to ensure assigned residents' rooms are clean and stocked.
Night Duty Additional Responsibilities:
- Restock personal care products.
- Clean tables, chairs, and remove kitchenware from bedrooms.
- Clean and charge hoists.
- Empty and replace bathroom and sluice room bins.
- Inspect and collect dirty laundry.

Requirements:
-QCF Level 2 / 3 (Desirable)
Good communication skills.
-A passion for providing elderly care
-Ability to relate to and care for older people in a sensitive manner
-Integrity and a compassionate nature

NB. Due to the nature of the clients we care for and their complex needs, we need to ensure that we are safeguarding minors and reducing their exposure to potentially challenging situations. The employment of individuals aged 16 and 17 is therefore not permitted for any roles requiring delivery of direct personal care.
