Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to oversee and support the daily operations within our childcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and working with children. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, create a nurturing environment, and contribute positively to children's development. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care, safety, and learning within the nursery or childcare environment.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of early childhood practitioners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education.
- Plan, organise, and implement engaging activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and wellbeing.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to childcare standards.
- Monitor the wellbeing of children, recognising any safeguarding concerns promptly.
- Drive organisational initiatives to enhance the overall quality of care provided.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or nursery environments.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience working with children with diverse needs is advantageous.
- Passionate about early childhood development with a caring and nurturing approach.
- Organised with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
