MIG & TIG Welder
CNC Recruitment is currently recruiting for experienced MIG & TIG Welders to join our clients in the Ilminster area.
We are looking for skilled welders with a strong background in fabrication and the ability to produce high-quality welds to specification.
Location - Ilminster and surrounding areas
Pay Rate - Up to £25.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
The Role
As a MIG & TIG Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out welding and fabrication work across a range of materials and components, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within required timescales.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and welding specifications.
- Welding a variety of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium where required.
- Setting up and safely operating welding equipment.
- Carrying out fabrication, fitting and assembly work.
- Ensuring welds meet required quality and specification standards.
- Inspecting finished work and carrying out any necessary adjustments or corrections.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area.
- Following all company health & safety procedures.
- Working independently and as part of a wider production/fabrication team.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a MIG & TIG Welder.
- Previous experience within a fabrication, engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
- A reliable and hardworking attitude.
- Good understanding of health & safety within a workshop environment.
- Relevant welding qualifications or coded welding experience would be advantageous but are not essential for all positions.
