Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed architectural drawings and plans, assisting in the design process, and ensuring that projects meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. This role requires proficiency in various design software and a strong understanding of building regulations and construction methods.
Duties
- Develop detailed schematics and technical drawings using CAD software, mainly AutoCAD. Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with architects and other professionals to create innovative designs that meet client specifications.
- Ability to use 3d software's like SketchUp for visualisation purposes is desirable but not a requirement.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and reports.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and ensure compliance with design specifications during construction phases.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design capabilities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) is essential; experience with SketchUp 3D is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and regulations.
- Excellent graphic design skills to create visually appealing presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Relevant qualifications in architecture or a related field are preferred but not mandatory for candidates with substantial experience.
