Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and educational support to children within a nurturing environment. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards
- Supervise and support children during play, mealtimes, and nap times to ensure their safety and well-being
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Monitor children's progress and keep detailed records of developmental milestones
- Assist with the organisation of nursery routines and activities to ensure smooth daily operations
- Support management in implementing policies related to child safety, health, and behaviour management
- Occasionally assist with driving responsibilities related to nursery outings or errands as required
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide both children and team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
- Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and adaptability in a dynamic environment
- Organised with good time-management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Driving licence is desirable for supporting nursery outings or transport needs
- Experience in managing or leading a team within a childcare setting is advantageous

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
