Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bathroom Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining bathroom fixtures and fittings in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems, along with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The ideal applicant will possess practical experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and assembly processes to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install new bathroom suites, including baths, sinks, toilets, and showers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building regulations.
- Repair or replace damaged fixtures and fittings in existing bathrooms.
- Measure spaces accurately and plan layouts for efficient installation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks effectively.
- Perform plumbing tasks such as connecting water supply lines and drainage systems.
- Carry out heavy lifting of bathroom units and materials safely.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all work areas are tidy after completion.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide professional advice on suitable solutions.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during installations or repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bathroom fitting or similar trade roles.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, carpentry, mechanical systems, and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to bathroom fixtures and fittings installation.
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving if required for transporting materials or equipment.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
