Complex Care Assistant
Location: Hartlepool Hours: Variable Hours | Flexible Days Shift Pattern: 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Sunday
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, patient, and dedicated Complex Care Assistants to support a client in the Hartlepool area. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy building meaningful relationships and delivering person-centred care that enhances quality of life.
Please note that the current hours are under review and may change as we continue to assess the client's support requirements.
About the Client
Our client is a quiet individual who responds best to a calm, positive, and personalised approach. Building trust and understanding the client's preferences will be key to providing excellent support.
The client enjoys a wide range of hobbies and interests, including:
- Watching TV shows such as The Chase and Tipping Point
- Movies including Rocky and The A-Team
- Board games such as Connect 4, Chess, and card games
- Pool, snooker, and darts
- Visiting pubs and social outings
- Dog and cat cafés
- Garden centres
- Cinema trips
- Car shows
- Theme parks and adrenaline-filled activities
The client also enjoys good food, especially meat and desserts, and has a dislike of fish. They previously worked as a butcher and enjoy discussing their past experiences.
What We're Looking For
- Caring, patient, and reliable nature
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to encourage independence while promoting choice and dignity
- Comfortable supporting the client with social and community-based activities
- Experience in care is desirable; complex care experience is advantageous
- Full training will be provided where required
