Job Title: Learning Support Assistant / Higher Level Teaching Assistant (LSA/HLTA)

ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Basingstoke seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support children to achieve their full potential, working closely with class teachers and the wider support team.

This LSA/HLTA role in Basingstoke would suit experienced learning support assistants, teaching assistants, or HLTAs ready to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities of an LSA/HLTA:
- Support pupils in class, in small groups, and on a 1:1 basis where required.
- Deliver targeted interventions to help pupils make progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- For HLTA candidates, lead lessons and cover classes when required.
- Communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working within a primary school setting.
- Bring a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.
- Hold an exemplary commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Hold HLTA status (desirable for HLTA applicants, not essential for LSA candidates).
