Role Overview
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of Facilities Management services across a portfolio of sites in London. The role focuses on ensuring effective contract delivery, financial performance, compliance, and client satisfaction while leading teams and supply chain partners.
What you'll do
The following reflect the main tasks associated with the position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
- Service Delivery: Lead the delivery of FM services in line with contract requirements and SLAs.
- Contract Management: Manage contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with specifications, KPIs, and performance standards.
- Financial Management: Take ownership of budgets, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting, ensuring profitability and value for money.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the key point of contact and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Manage of staff, and supply chain partners, promoting a high-performance culture.
- Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with HSEQ policies, legislation, and safe systems of work including risk assessments and audits.
- Performance Monitoring: Review contract KPIs and performance data, implementing improvements where required.
- Risk Management: Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of service.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and service improvements across contracts to enhance efficiency and delivery.
What you’ll bring
As Facilities Manager, your main skills and experience will include:
Essential Criteria
- Significant experience in Facilities Management (hard FM bias preferred)
- Proven experience managing contracts and leading teams within an FM environment
- Strong commercial awareness with budget and financial management experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Sound knowledge of H&S legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience managing supply chains and subcontractors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Criteria
- Relevant FM or building services qualification
- Experience working in London-based contracts
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple contracts or sites
